Acceptance of Terms
By using the Journey Beyond Africa Tours’ website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.
Services Offered
Journey Beyond Africa Tours acts as an intermediary between travelers and travel-related service providers (such as airlines, hotels, and tour operators). We do not own or operate any of the services directly but facilitate bookings and reservations on behalf of our clients
Booking and Payments
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the service providers.
- Deposit: A [non-refundable] deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance must be paid 40 days before the tour start date. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in cancellation of the booking.
- We accept payments via Bank transfer, credit card, Pesa pal, PayPal Visa among others.
Changes to Booking
- Amendments by Customer: Any amendments to your booking must be made in writing and may incur additional charges.
- Amendments by Company: We reserve the right to make necessary changes to the itinerary or tour arrangements due to factors beyond our control.
Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation by Customer: Cancellations must be made in writing. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 25 days before the tour start date. If you cancel 55 days or more before the tour start date, you will receive a 100% refund of the total tour price, minus the deposit.
- Peak Season: 0-25 days 100%, 25-55 days 50%, 55-70 days 25%
- High/Mid Season: 0-14 days 100%, 14-30 days 50%, 30-45 days 25%
- Low Season: 0-7 days 100%, 8-15 days 50%, 16-30 days 25%
Cancellation by Company: We reserve the right to cancel any tour due to insufficient bookings, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, you will be offered an alternative tour or a full refund
Force Majeure
- We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including wars, Riots, government decisions but not limited to natural disasters, political instability, or pandemics.
Traveler Responsibilities
- Travelers are responsible for providing accurate information during bookings.
- The traveler is responsible for compliance with visa requirements, health regulations, and travel advisories.
- Travelers must behave responsibly and respect local customs, laws, and cultures.
- All travelers must have comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical expenses, trip cancellations, and personal belongings.
Liability and Disclaimers
- Assumption of Risk: By participating in our tours, you acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with travel and adventure activities.
- Waiver of Liability: Journey Beyond Africa Tours is not responsible for any injury, loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by delays, cancellations, or changes in the itinerary due to circumstances beyond our control.
- Travelers participate in activities at their own risk
Intellectual Property
The content on our website, including text, images, and logos, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without permission
Privacy and Data Protection
Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect personal information. By using our services, you consent to our privacy practices.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Uganda, and any disputes arising out of or related to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Uganda.
Health and Safety
Medical Conditions: You must inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions or dietary requirements at the time of booking.
Safety Compliance: You agree to comply with all safety instructions and guidelines provided by our tour guides.
